Laid Off POS Helpers Found Own Co.

By Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 8/19/2008 10:48:00 AM

Tuscon, AZ — Intuit Inc., maker of retailer software QuickBooks Point of Sale, laid off 150 employees in June, including the entire U.S.-based call center for QuickBooks Point of Sale. So some of the call center agents got together and started their own company, ASAP Business Solutions LLC, to continue to provide QuickBooks Point of Sale help.

Martin Morse, one of the members of the new company, said in a statement "No one can help QuickBooks Point of Sale customers better than we can, and now we can also help those customers who want us to come in person or may be a little web-challenged or, let's face it, just need someone in the U.S. who speaks English. We also have created a member base association where other QuickBooks and POS professionals can get together and get help from the experts and receive free leads for new customers who desire their help.” ASAP will donate 5 percent of profits to the Make-A-Wish-Foundation.
