Kathleen "Katt" Hirsch-Jolly, 42, designer of gift, stationery, and decorative accessory products for more than 20 years, died at her Tarzana, CA home on February 14. She was the victim of a murder-suicide. Jolly's images have been produced and distributed by a number of greeting card companies, including Colors by Design (formerly David M. & Co.) and Painted Hearts and Friends. In 1990, she opened Katt Jolly Designs, a retail store in southern California. Her work was also licensed internationally through Stanley Papel Designs. Jolly is survived by her mother, Helen Hirsch, and her daughter, Michelle. Katt Jolly's designs will continue to be marketed through a new company to be launched by the family later this year. The family asks that remembrances be made in the form of donations to The Educational Fund to Stop Gun Violence in Washington, DC.
