New York Hosts Fancy Food Show
The 47th annual International Fancy Food & Confection Show, sponsored by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade (NASFT), will return to New York from July 8–10, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. The show will feature more than 1,600 exhibitors presenting some 60,000 food products, and an expanded educational program with 17 seminars and workshops to teach attendees about trends in selling food.
Contemporary Crafts Take CA
The Contemporary Craft Markets, produced by Roy Helms & Associates, will make their returns to Santa Monica and San Francisco in the fall and spring, respectively, featuring handmade work in all media. The 16th annual Santa Monica market, November 2–4, will take place at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. The tenth annual San Francisco Contemporary Craft Market will be held at the Fort Mason Pavilions, March 8–10, 2002.
U.K. High-End Show to Debut
British trade show producer Trade Promotion Services (TPS) is set to launch 6th Sense, a high-end trade show presenting 150 exhibitors, June 10–12, in London. The show will feature U.K. design studios with an emphasis on contemporary design, according to Adam Ash, TPS' North American agent. 6th Sense will take place in the new ExCel exhibition facility, and will run concurrently with Elite, a housewares show featuring some 75 exhibitors.
