Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 5/1/2001
New York — OneCoast Network, the umbrella organization for 18 U.S. sales rep agencies, appointed David Moses president. He replaces Mark Schoenwald who left OneCoast to become president of New Creative Enterprises (NCE). OneCoast also began phasing out its online business-to-business arm, USGift.com. John B. Hayes, USGift.com president and CEO and OneCoast chairman, left the company to pursue other interests. OneCoast CFO Patrick Shannon will serve as interim CEO until a replacement is found. Moses, founder of New York-based The Lifelines Group, a OneCoast agency, is the first president of the umbrella organization to come from within the industry. Moses noted that his primary task will be to oversee the activities of the brick-and-mortar OneCoast agencies, assisting them in "maximizing our sales efforts on behalf of our manufacturers." OneCoast is not currently planning to add any sales agencies to its roster.
