Wonderful Wishes Debuts Line

Providence, RI — Andy Meehan, formerly of Notes & Queries and Peacock Papers, formed the Wonderful Wishes Card Company to create distinct card lines for upscale and boutique retail outlets. The cards are expected to retail for $2 to $3. Meehan's company will design and sell the cards, which will be manufactured and distributed by Paramount Cards. "My goal is to bring the retailer a unique assortment of cards and paper goods, combined with great sales and customer service," Meehan explained. Hamilton Davison, Paramount's president, said that Wonderful Wishes will produce product for a niche not covered by his 97-year-old company. "Our whole history has been focused on the specialty trade, but we do not operate in the sector Andy is targeting," he commented. The Wonderful Wishes Card Company will exhibit at the National Stationery Show, May 20–23.
