Partnership Creates Orlando Gift Show

Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 6/1/2001

Urban Expositions, George Little Management (GLM), and Universal Shows Inc. (formerly Western Exhibitors Inc.) forged a partnership to produce a semiannual Orlando Gift Show, beginning in January 2002. Urban Expositions currently manages and produces the Florida International Gift Show each July in Orlando, FL. Through this partnership, the summer event will be renamed, and a winter edition will be added. The winter edition of the Orlando Gift Show will run concurrently with the International New Age Trade Show (INATS) East, which is produced and managed by GLM and Universal Shows. The two events will present 500 exhibitors in 70,000 square feet of exhibit space, and producers expect to attract over 7,000 retailers. The shows will feature unique registration with reciprocal access. In addition, each show will offer educational programs and special events. Shared shuttle buses and services will be offered. The 2002 Orlando Gift Shows are scheduled for January 5–7, and August 3–6 at the Orange County Convention Center.
