Terence Morris Rejoins AMC Inc.
Terence Morris has been appointed senior vice president of international business development at trade show producer AMC Inc., Atlanta. He will relocate to Atlanta from Los Angeles, where he worked with the California Gift Show (CGS) for a number of years when it was owned by AMC Inc. The CGS was purchased by DMG World Media in 1999 and Morris was appointed show manager. Most recently, he held the title of vice president, western business development, for DMG and George Little Management, the producers of the CGS.
CMA Turns 20
California Marketing Associates celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Founded by Mickey Lang and operated by Lang and executive vice president Karl Weiglin, CMA is a Southwest rep group for giftware, decorative accessories, collectibles, Christmas decor, and other products, and is located in the L.A. Mart. The anniversary will be celebrated during the L.A. Gift Festival, July 17–24.
MarketPlace Plans First Temp Show
The Columbus MarketPlace for Gift, Garden, and Home will launch a new temporary show, August 18–20, in Columbus, OH. The temporary show will add more than 100 new vendors to the 110 permanent showrooms of the Columbus MarketPlace. Temporary vendors will display at the Holiday Inn West, 2350 Westbelt Dr., located less than one mile from the MarketPlace, which will offer complimentary shuttle service between locations, 9 a.m.–6 p.m., August 18–19; and 9 a.m.–2 p.m., August 20.
