OneCoast to Launch National Sales-Marketing Service

By Staff -- Gifts & Decorative Accessories, 10/5/2006 1:35:00 PM

Pittsburgh, PA – OneCoast is launching a national integrated sales and marketing service for a select group of gift and home décor vendors. While the company has offered national representation in the collegiate bookstore industry for five years, this national service will be a first for the gift and home décor industries.

The group will be called OneCoast National Division ONE (“ND ONE”) and will be comprised of five regional managers, 96 field salespeople, five telesales, a product-training specialist, and Web marketing. Bobby Reynolds, previously sales manager in OneCoast’s Southeast region, was named the group’s divisional vice president and will report to John Keiser, senior vice president of strategic relationships. ND ONE will service independent retailers throughout the United States.

Georgia-based giftware company, Mud Pie, and New York-based Woodstock Chimes, a manufacturer of precision-tuned wind chimes and premium home and garden accessories, will be the first two vendors to use the new service, which is set to begin on December 1. Additional ND ONE national relationships are expected in the next 45 days.

“In this constantly changing marketplace, we have been working hard over the last few years to implement programs that add more value to our vendor and retailer partners,” says Ted Teele, OneCoast CEO. “Some of these programs include expanding our Key Accounts program and launching our e-commerce site, Special Buys.To continue our goal of providing innovative programs to help vendors and retailers grow sales, we have added a national sales service to complement our highly successful regional sales service already in place. This model will enable OneCoast to partner with vendors in unprecedented ways to better service our retailer customers,” Teele adds.
