BURBANK, Calif.—Copyright Promotions Licensing Group has been named the exclusive international licensing agent for Bobby Jack, the tween fashion brand featuring a free-spirited monkey.
CPLG will develop Bobby Jack into a global consumer products brand based around new art programs and exclusive designs for partners and retailers. It will grow the property’s current licensing program to include categories such as health & beauty aids, fashion accessories, toys, games and publishing.
“Our new partnership with CPLG marks the first step in the global expansion of Bobby Jack,” said Bob Molino, Bobby Jack President. “With their global licensing expertise, CPLG has the ability to help Bobby Jack reach key demographics and all major markets around the world. Bobby Jack is the perfect brand to be embraced internationally because all girls can relate to his free spirit and attitude.”
Since its launch in 2002, Bobby Jack has achieved over $300 million in retail sales of apparel, accessories and room decor, primarily on the strength of word of mouth, according to the company.
Separately this week, CPLG said it promoted Stephanie Gonzalez to Director of Licensing.
Gonzalez will continue to play “a major role” in overseeing the development and implementation of merchandising programs for brands such as Strawberry Shortcake, Varsity, Lucha Libre AAA, Harlem Globetrotters, Richard Scarry and Bobby Jack. She will focus on a wide range of categories including all soft lines, accessories, back to school, bags, costumes, food and consumables, footwear, Halloween, party goods, vending and amusement and stationery.
"Stephanie’s experience and knowledge will help continue to foster our success," said Lisa Streff, CPLG’s senior vice president, domestic consumer products.
She will be based in CPLG’s Burbank office.
