LIMA board adds three

NEW YORK—The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA) today announced the election of three new members to its Board of Directors.

Joining the LIMA board are Rick Van Brimmer, Director, Trademark and Licensing Services, The Ohio State University; Sabine Eckhardt, Managing Director, MM MerchandisingMedia GmbH, one of Europe's largest full-service licensing agencies; and Glenn Hendricks, Vice President, Business Development, Licensing & Merchandising, SloaneVision Unlimited, the New York-based licensing agency.

The three incoming members replace Christian Fortmann of Sonnenberg Fortmann, David Jacobs of HiHat Media and Stephen Stanley of JAKKS Pacific, all of whom recently completed their terms on the board.

"We thank our outgoing board members for their vision and dedication to the worldwide licensing industry, and we welcome our new and returning directors as we enter the second year of our three-year strategic initiative," said Charles Riotto, president of LIMA. "We have tremendous momentum from the success of the inaugural Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas, enhanced member services such as an improved website and educational opportunities including an expanded webinar series and the Certificate of Licensing Studies and flip programs. We will continue to work with the Board of Directors to position LIMA at the epicenter of advocacy for this industry and our membership."

Gregory J. Battersby of Grimes & Battersby, LLC, remains LIMA's General Counsel.

The new directors were elected by a vote of the LIMA membership and their terms will run from July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2012.
