Greenzys to debut at FAO Schwarz

By Staff -- Gifts and Dec, April 6, 2010

Greenzy plush and book debut at FAO Schwarz in April 2010LOS ANGELES—Eco-friendly children's entertainment brand Greenzys will launch exclusively at toy retailer FAO Schwarz this month.

Greenzys, which encompasses books, plush toys, animated content and an interactive website, will be available solely at FAO Schwarz Fifth Avenue in New York City and online at FAO.com throughout the month and will also be featured in the store's window displays.

The brand is buoyed by plush toys from Kids Preferred made from soy fibers and non-toxic dyes with packaging made from recycled paperboard. Featured characters include Peat the Penguin, an ardent supporter of recycling, reusing and reducing waste; Yew Yew the Panda, who grows bamboo to prevent erosion and create oxygen; Willow the Elephant, who collects rainwater for her plants and uses her trunk as a water hose; and Violet the Giraffe, an ecological genius who teaches the others how to reduce their carbon paw print in an effort to protect the environment.

For every toy purchased, a tree will be planted by the Arbor Day Foundation. Additionally, a portion from every Greenzys product purchased also benefits the Environmental Media Association.

Pretty lame.....does the vendor think that FAO is going to provide some cache'? These will just turn out to be way overly priced plush.
