Designmyroom.com lets users choose a sample room or upload photos of their room, then drag and drop new stuff into it, consult with friends, get tips from designers, and of course, shop. The site is sponsored by Armstrong, Kohler, Smith + Noble, Benjamin Moore, and Whirlpool and mostly seems to offer products from large retailers like Target, so smaller retailers may not be able to get their offerings included, but keep an eye on the site’s creator, Swatchbox Technologies.

Hands Off that Calculator
According to Storefront Backtalk, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued a patent for an online shipping calculator to Paid Inc. We’re guessing Paid is exactly what they’re going to get when everyone else coughs up for the right to use this increasingly-expected tool.
