A Picture Promised

Better late than never, as the old saying goes. I finally got a picture of me at that dance competition that I participated in last August. Sometimes it takes a while for the photographer to send it along, since he is constantly on the road going from competition to competition. Then, since it’s a print, there’s the problem of either getting it scanned or figuring out someway other way to post it! Such are life’s small dilemmas.
The ballgown that I am wearing here, I am now retiring and planning to sell. I have just bought a new gown that is bubblegum pink! We periodically have to trade in and trade up on our costumes — not an inexpensive proposition!
I’m off dancing again this weekend, this time locally in New Jersey. I’m taking along my own camera and hope to wrangle someone into taking some pictures with it. I won’t guarantee that I’ll get anything; trying to snap pictures of such fast moving targets is not easy. I know from experience; I try to take photos of my teacher, Tony Scheppler, (that’s him in the picture with me) and his partner when they are dancing.
Anyway, I will report back to you all on this weekend’s results as well. I also have to catch you all up on my adventures in India. Stay tuned.
