Building Our Future Toy Conferences in Nuremberg and New York

I am very pleased to announce that Richard Gottlieb’s USA Toy Experts is producing, in conjunction with the Nuremberg Toy Fair,  the first Building Our Future Toy Conference – Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair which will take place in Nuremberg, Germany on February 3, 2010. 

I am equally pleased to announce that I am putting on, in conjunction with Playthings magazine,  the second annual Building Our Future Toy Conference which will take place in New York City on September 29 and 30.  

Spielwarenmesse issued a press release quoting Fair Chief Executive Officer, Ernst Kick, as stating:  

“By organizing the “Building Our Future Toy Conference” we are actively shaping the future together with decision-makers and opinion leaders.  We are delighted to have obtained Richard Gottlieb as competent partner and presenter of this key event.”

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with last year’s conference, we invited 27 play and toy industry thought leaders to sit around a table for a day and talk about what was coming for the toy industry over the next few years. The results were highly enlightening and even exciting. You can learn about the results of the conference by reading the two articles that appeared in Playthings after the event; “Figuring Out the Future” and “A To Do List.” 

Though it is by invitation only, like last year, we are going to keep open a chair at the table for someone who strongly wants to participate. So, if you are interested in being a participant in either the Nuremberg or New York conferences, please email us and let us know why you want to attend and what you feel you can contribute.I will continue to keep you posted on events related to the Building Our Future Conferences.
