Tweetchat on Gender &Toys

I am going to host a thought-provoking Tweetchat on Gender & Toys on Tuesday, August 10 at 8 pm ET. Twitter users can sign in to Tweetchat to follow the conversation or monitor it on Twitter through the hashtag #gender&toys.
Interested attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance to Richard@usatoyexperts.com or to comment on Richard's Global Toy News Blog at www.globaltoynews.com.
We want to launch what we plan to be an ongoing conversation on toys and gender. I will moderate the chat. We're examining how toys affect the personal and professional choices that men and women make later in life and we'd like to provide valuable insight to those who invent, manufacture and market the toys we purchase.
Next month, I am going to lead an all-star panel of thought leaders at his Building Our Future Toy Conference 4: Girls & Toys. Co-sponsored by Women in Toys, the conference, to be held Sept. 21 and 22 in New York. The conference will address related gender and toy issues, including age compression and toys for older girls, gender-free toy merchandising, toys for 21st century girls, and the societal impact on the toy industry.
The conference is by invitation only, but selected live webcasts of part of the conference will be made available.
Experts in the areas of toys, entertainment, child development, education, physical sciences, psychology and media will participate in the panels, and the conference attendees will include toy manufacturers, inventors, marketers, publicists, publishers and industry association executives.
