Disney Princesses; cartoon fun with sociology
August 27, 2010

I found a very interesting website, Sociological Images, that "... is designed to encourage all kinds of people to exercise and develop their sociological imagination by presenting brief sociological discussions of compelling and timely imagery that spans the breadth of sociological inquiry."
Its actually more fun that that. Have a look for yourself "Jeff Brunner put together this analysis of the evolution of the Disney princess"

They forgot Pocahontas who was the first positive role model for women at Disney but they had to change the story to make it so.
