NYIGF Shifts Dates for January '09
White Plains, NY — The winter 2009 New York International Gift Fair will run from Sunday, January 25–Thursday, January 29.

August 21, 2008 — Traffic continued to be steady during New York Market Week. All venues of the New York International Gift Fair continued to see a steady flow of buyers populating the aisles and most exhibitors told Gifts & Decorative Accessories that sales were good. Over in the showrooms at 7W New York, the buyer traffic was up and business was also steady.
Laid Off POS Helpers Found Own Co.
Tuscon, AZ — Intuit Inc., maker of retailer software QuickBooks Point of Sale, laid off 150 employees in June, including the entire U.S.-based call center for QuickBooks Point of Sale. So some of the call center agents got together and started their own company.

Cannon Falls, MN — The North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources recognized vendor Colonial Candle’s Elkin, NC production facility as an Environmental Partner in the department’s Environmental Stewardship Initiative.
