7. Your 2 Cents Worth
Markets are still a vital part of the gift industry, something we experienced first hand last week in Atlanta, as we visited showrooms and booths at AmericasMart along with thousands of others. The vast majority -- nearly 90 percent -- of respondents to last week's poll asking about attendance at market said they will be going to at least one show this season. Forty-four percent of poll-takers said they will attend one or two markets, while 25 percent said they plan to attend three markets. Approximately 3 percent replied they will attend four markets, and nearly 14 percent said they would attend more than five markets. Only about 14 percent of poll-takers said they would attend no markets this season.

And speaking of poll-takers, be sure to be among them by voting in this week's poll.
