6. Your 2 Cents Worth
Looks like the industry takes Auntie Mame's advice about Christmas to heart ("We need a little Christmas, right this very minute," sings Auntie Mame in the play of the same name). When asked in last week's poll which category they were most interested in during this market season, nearly a third of respondents said Christmas/holiday. Infant/baby came in as the second most sought-after category, with early 19 percent of the vote. Stationery received nearly 7 percent of the votes, while jewelry/women's fashion and serveware/tabletop each won 5 percent. Men's accessories came in as the least sought-after category and just over 12 percent voted for "other."
