1. Buy Local Campaigns Showing Solid Results

2. When Perception Becomes Reality
Pasadena, CA — The more we believe an item is worth, the happier we are with the purchase. And, according to a recent study, the belief of worth can be totally unrelated to how much an item is actually worth. <<Click to Continue>>

3. New Show to Debut this Summer
New York — The One of a Kind Wholesale Show, which is making its New York debut August 16–19, is accepting applications to exhibit from top artists, artisans and designers who create original work and sell to the wholesale market. And be sure to look for International and National Market Runup reports each week during market season at giftsanddec.com. Click on "Market Previews" under the Gift Markets tab at the top of the page.

6. Direct From Market

7. Your 2 Cents Worth
Uh-oh. It appears buyers might not be all that impressed with market offerings so far this season. Over 30 percent of respondents to last week's poll question asking which category seems to have the freshest product answered "wake me when it's over." As for the rest of the respondents: Nearly 28 percent voted for home; 17 percent, baby; 6.9 percent each for Christmas, women's accessories and personal care; and 3.45 percent for home fragrance.

Maybe our respondents were underwhelmed by this season's product offerings so far because we didn't hit on the right categories so we're going to give it another try. If at first we don't succeed.........vote again.
