United Media begins ‘Goodnight Moon’ licensing

United Media will guide licensing efforts for classic childrenNEW YORK—United Media is launching a licensing program around Margaret Wise Brown’s children’s book Goodnight Moon.

 

United Media plans a lifestyle program for the property targeting infants and toddlers. Core product categories will include apparel/accessories, domestics, room décor, gifts and infant and preschool toys.

“The Goodnight Moon brand is truly unique,” said Joshua Kislevitz, Senior Vice President, Domestic Licensing at United Media. “Goodnight Moon is an iconic brand cherished by children and their mothers. That the brand has never been licensed before offers retailers and licensees an incredible opportunity.”

United Media’s deal with HarperCollins Children’s Books for the property extends a relationship that previously saw the companies collaborate for a character merchandising program for children’s book Fancy Nancy.
