Yu-Gi-Oh! Expands Licensing, Offers Exclusive Figures

Yu Gi OhNEW YORK – 4K Media Inc. has partnered with several new licensees for Yu-Gi-Oh! North American and international markets. The company has also launched a more engaging website, giving fans the chance to win a one-of-a-kind figures.

New licensees include Freeze, which will produce a new collection of children’s t-shirts, fashion tops and hoodies utilizing artwork inspired by the the popular animated series for the United States and Canada. Overseas, Gruppo Cartorama S.R.L. will design yu-Gi-Oh! stationery and back-to-school accessories featuring the artwork from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL animated series for the territories of Italy, San Marin and Vatican City. (In Italy, the animated series, Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL, has signed on for a third season.) Extended seasons have also been added in the United Kingdom and Australia.

“With all of these recent developments, it’s clear that excitement for the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand is continuing to build around the world,” said Kristen Gray, senior vice president, 4K Media. “We’re expecting to make additional announcements in the year ahead, which will continue to demonstrate our commitment to the franchise and its robust resurgence.”

In addition to expansions on the licensing front, 4K Media has kicked off a Yu-Gi-Oh! Sweepstakes that will offer four prize packages valued at $865 each to promote the new yugioh.com website. Prizes include the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game products, DVD Box Sets, 25 Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Manga Volumes from Viz Media and a selection of new Yu-Gi-Oh! Products, in addition to a a HeroClix Series 1 limited edition, highly collectible factory set, available only to Sweepstakes winners.

The new site gives fans a more immersive experience, including streaming of more than 770 episodes and more than 2,800 card information pages and new product information.
