Heart on Main Street Receives Valuable Donation in Dallas to Help Small Businesses

The 501©(3) nonprofit organization received a sizable donation from The Link Companies during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market. Here's how it will help retailers.

While buyers were stocking goods and were writing orders, Heart on Main Street had a different market goal in mind: raising funds for independent . And while the summer markets might have been slow for some, had a winning week.

The 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting independent retailers through disaster relief, educational resources, and community-driven initiatives received a valuable donation during the : a $7,500 from The Link Companies.

The contribution celebrates a company-wide summer market goal set by : 1,500 summer appointments logged by its sales team, resulting in a $7,500 donation to Heart on Main Street. The effort reflects The Link Companies’ continued commitment to supporting independent retailers while recognizing the sales team’s work to connect with customers and help them prepare for a successful season.

The contribution will help Heart on Main Street continue its mission of supporting independent retailers through disaster relief, educational programming, and initiatives that strengthen Main Street businesses across the country.

For the past three years, The Link Companies and Heart on Main Street have shared a commitment to the independent retail community. This latest contribution further demonstrates The Link Companies’ dedication to ensuring retailers have the resources and support they need to overcome challenges and build thriving businesses.

“This donation is really a celebration of our retailers and our sales team,” said Brad Rosenkampff, CMO/CPO of The Link Companies. “Every summer appointment represents a retailer making time to plan ahead and a member of our team showing up to serve them well. We are proud to turn that collective effort into support for Heart on Main Street and the important work they do for independent retailers.”

Patrick Keiser, executive director of Heart on Main Street, expressed gratitude for the continued partnership. “The Link Companies has been an incredible advocate for independent retailers and for the work we do at Heart on Main Street,” Keiser said. “Their commitment goes beyond financial support. They understand the challenges retailers face and consistently step forward to help strengthen our industry. Partnerships like this allow us to provide critical assistance when disaster strikes, offer valuable educational opportunities, and ensure independent retailers have the support they need to succeed. We are grateful for The Link Companies’ continued investment in the future of Main Street.”

The donation comes as Heart on Main Street continues to expand its impact through programs including disaster recovery grants, the Independent Rebuild Project, educational webinars and resources, and initiatives that connect retailers with the support needed to navigate an evolving retail landscape.

Since its founding, Heart on Main Street has provided financial assistance, inventory support, and recovery resources to independent retailers facing unexpected challenges, helping communities preserve the local businesses that serve as the heart of Main Street America.
